interface fore a Echostar LT8700

Hallo,my name is Johan.
çan some-body help méé with an interface,i'ff cot an interface for a Echostar LT8700,and wonne build it in.Now is the problem:on the Main-board i'll séé the name:RS232 intfc with 8 pins,witch pins must i use to connect it with the Interface.

Hello Johan, welcome to the forum.

What is the interface for? If it's just for transmitting and receiving data to a terminal program, you only need pins 2 and 3, and pin 5 for ground. In which case an RS232 null cable will be fine.

Hallo Liew:I'ff got an Nokia Media Master 9500,and wonne connect it
with the Echostar LT8700.You now the answer??
Which is pin :2 and 3 and5,how must i séé that?Is it when i look to/or at the Front off the LT8700?Doe you have a picture off it?

I can only refer you to the Setedit site, where there is some information on setting up the link between a Nokia 9600 Mediamaster (presumably similar) and LT8700, using a straight RS232 cable (not a null cable) -

I only have the earlier Echostar SR8700 receiver without RS232, so can't help there.

I believe i have found it,it's writing on the print(near the pins).
