Greetings all,
We've just moved into a new (rented) house, and are having problems with satellite reception. We get 'no satellite signal is being received ' messages, primarily on BBC1 though other channels have been affected. ITV1 seems to be fine. BBC2 seems to come and go!
The dish looks fairly old (picture attached)
The dish is mounted on the end of the house at a height of about 2.3m and there is a fence about 4m from the dish on it's centre line. The top of the fence is about the same height as the centre of the dish.
Our location is Paignton in Devon Latitude: 50.4061° Longitude: -3.5618°
My question, bearing in mind it's a rental property, what is the most cost effective fix. I'm more than happy to replace the LNB or dish myself if that's the problem.
The receiver is a standard sky box that was working well before the move.
Final question, if the LNB or dish are to be replaced, what would be the recommended replacement.
Many thanks,
frogeye
