does anyone have this type of lnb? is still available or is super sold out like the linear one 21400 22400 request ! Is it possible to make it linear? Inside the throat of the feed is a dielectric or it is purposely molded to be circular only Thank you

Its molded , but with a second dielectric slab it can work lineair .

It would be good to know the loss when compared to cutting back and fitting a proper feed and transfer.

Can the original dielectric be cut out ?

ok since putting a second plate the signal returns linear,
is this product still available?
A colleague of mine asked the Italian importer for availability of invert but at the moment no answer has been received

I may not fully understand, but if you change from circular polarization to linear polarization, you can only receive either V or H polarization. You need to have good manual skills to open the back cover, take out the board, clean the five steps in the circular waveguide tube, and reassemble it. Connect the LNB and antenna properly, then use a satellite finder or DVB to scan again, and you will get either an H or V program.
 
I can (till now) only speek about a Triax Ka lnb that I opened . There must be a Inverto Ka somewere in the house , I will open .
inside there are on the circuitboard , two horizontal antenna’s separated by the five step slab .
So only removing that slab wont be enough to get a Hor / Vert lnb .
You have to mod one antenna to a vertical position .
With the second slab you can achive H/V position with some losses

No, the dielectric should not be removed. Then this LNB works very poorly or not at all. It only works with dielectric. It should also be said that it only works properly with the INVERTO LNB. With the TRIAX or SAROSAT you can only optimize one polarity and the other then goes much worse. This is related to the layout of the board.

Here some pics how I did it with the Triax .
My goal was to use it for band A (Astra 19.2 and Turksat 42) but I did not manage to change the DRO properly .
In the meantime I got me a Directv SL3K triple lnb from the US that worked inmediality with a second DE slab .

but where is this US lnb located?
is its price human or stellar?
 
There are two ways to shift the range to 18 GHz. You can remove the original pill and take a pill from a KU band LNB (9.75GHz). Then the LNB starts at about 18,500 GHz and goes up to over 19,200. The second option is to apply ceramic material to the original pill. I always glued this on with normal glue. Now you have to experiment with thickness and diameter. If a relatively good signal is obtained, the filters in the LNB still have to be dampened. This is the hardest part and it takes many times to screw and unscrew the LNB. A good gauge is also needed with which to measure the changes. The first LNB that I converted back then took about three months.

No, you need one with separate Ka O/Ps. The SL3K4NR1 fits the bill. See -

That's how I did it back then. A ceramic plate cut from a circuit board and polished. Then grind a circle and glue it to the original pill. The filters are dampened with dielectric material from the coaxial cable as marked. Check the progress with the meter.
