Iranian Channels Shut Down On 13E

The most important iranian ch are available from 53e express satellite

12582 V 24000 2/3 DVB-S now

I'm interested if da "steereable beam 2" of this russian bird has signal in the U.K. and the size of the dish needed 4 good reception!

On da middle east spot of 62E are all the iranian ch (11555v) , can get them on my qth, but in U.K. ....

I can get some (about half) of the S2 beam channels off 53E with a battered 80cm dish, but the Iranian tp is one of the ones I cant get. Theres not much rain fade allowance on an 80 though.

I'll have another look when the weather improves a bit - havent got much chance of weak stuff with the current rain.
 
I dont have a 120cm dish handy :D

However with a bit of tweaking of the 80 cm dish Ive got up Ive got a weak signal off the 53E versions. Cold clear days only, but Ive logged them :)

However the Iranians have managed to sneak IRIB1, IRINN, IFilm & Press TV back onto 13E this evening!! They have appeared on 12015H!
