I don't think so because it was very expensive to produce the new technologie and they had lost a lot of money for that. They will search for a new technologie when Irdeto 2 is hacked.

i read in an artical by the irdeto md that they change codes every year regardless if its been hacked. so whats the point in trying to hack it?

People will always try and beat the system Doggy, even if once successful, it only lasts for a short time, they still consider it worth the effort.:)

Very deliberately "they" Doggy, I'm not a hacker, I'm a mechanic in the sat and aerial world, can't get on with hexadecimal codes, too intangible for my liking. :)

In the case of first generation encryption, the codes were changed twice a week but it was still hacked. We have to thank hackers for sticking with it and allowing us to follow our hobby. As for second generation, it may never be hacked but the key searchers will carry on....it's in their blood.
