Here's a guide I found long the way, I understood everything but the part where it says "The key index" what those that mean exactly? can someone shed some light? alecco "IDIOTS GUIDE TO CREATING FREECAM OPERATING KEYS If you wish to create freecam keys yourself rather than using one of the prepackaged calculators heres how. 1.) You need the following information to start with a.)The provider either 00 or 10 b.)The key index like 02 c.)The plain key in hex format 2.) Tools a.) a scentific calulator 3.) Our example here will be Canal+1 Netherlands a.) The Provider 00 b.) The key index 02 c.) The plain key 98 09 7d 7a aa 17 51 9e 4.) First we set our scentific calculator to HEX format, then we enter our provider which is 00, now press the DEC button to convert to decimal, this will give the result 0 5.) Next is the key index, follow the proccess as before, set the calculator to HEX enter 02 and press the DEC button to convert to decimal the result should be 2 6.) Repeat the same process for the plain key one byte at a time (a byte is the first section of code i,e 98) 98 hex converted to dec = 152 09 hex converted to dec = 9 7d hex converted to dec = 125 7a hex converted to dec = 122 aa hex converted to dec = 170 17 hex converted to dec = 23 51 hex converted to dec = 81 9e hex converted to dec = 158 7.) We now have a complete string including the provider, index key & plain key that looks like this:- 0 2 152 9 125 122 170 23 81 158, however this is not yet complete we know that to use codes in freecam they are in sets of 3 so all we need do now is add 0's in front of any sets that don't have 3 numbers in. Therefore where the first set is 0 we add 00 to it to make 000 in the second set where the set is 2 we add 00 in front to make 002 The next set has 3 numbers already 152 so we need not touch this. Continue through all the sets until each one contains 3 digits. 8.) The final result should look like this:- 000 002 152 009 125 122 170 023 081 158 That is your completed freecam code for canal Digital, provider 00 key index 02 It's obviously alot quicker to use a calculator such as Omnikalk, but i thought it worthwhile to explain the longhand method of the key creation. Give a labourer a trowel, some mortar & a pile of bricks and he'll build you a wall This is what i try to do for you in our group, make enough information availible to you here so you can go off and create, make or build whatever your trying to acheive yourselves. "Helping one another" as the #digi.satchat motto goes :-) Skagg"
