Irdeto version 4 ?

A friend bought a Satellite system today. Smart card is Irdeto version 4 KU band (PAS 7) Is it different from Irdeto 2 or what ?

IR2 cards are ver 4.1 in au.

Same here in Greece. Nova gives now irdeto 2 cards version 4.

How certain are you that 4.1 are irdeto2? where did you get this info from the card manufacturer? pls can you explain, or are you just assuming.Their are other versions of cards out their besides 4.1.

Sand Storm,4.1 are irdeto 2 cards here in Australia, as ird1 for pay tv in Australia has been turned of,a quick look at lyngsat for Austar and Foxtel gave me the answers,Optus Aurora is still irdeto1

Yes I know that but just because your card doesn't work now means to say they changed to IR2 compleatly or just simply using IR1 but a little modified version.
Lyng sat is great but even you can have the site updated by request providing info.
But if it's really IR2 well time will tell after some one compromising it with a hack like S2.

i agree i ave acs 4.1 in my hand but its still irdeto 1 provider fro, lyngsat for dfh.T5.

dfh1-3 on T5 are now irdeto2. All irdeto1 cards are down now.
