hi all
A local tv service provider has been sending tv channels through mmds free to air (relying on the fact no one knows they are f.t.a.) but recently some of the channels have gone down my reciever is recieving the full signal strength but there is no audio and video, does anybody know what there method is,and can the signal be hunted down by another reciever,

thanks redoor43

Sounds like they may have started encrypting.

Yes i think your right!!!
i have a technomate 1500 c and couldnt get anything, but my friend has a illusiom m3 and it found most of the channels, even tried the pid search on the technomate, even when i inputed the transponder info that i knew was correct as i got it from the illusion and knew they were right any thoughts more anybody.

thanks

a local service here in the U.S. had 32 chanel mds of witch the top 8 channels were encrypted. (premium) last year it all went dead, so did a blind search and lo it seems the entire system is encapsulated with digicypher2
now they want money to get even the local channels.most of the locals
you can get are not only free, but HD as well. the logic of 07
