Seem to have lost this stored position in the Vbox ...and tricky to relocate without a known signal to aim for ..
Is MBC Malawi 21580 H
still active on SES/Astra 4.9E ..
Not finding a whole lot here
having single stepped this section of arc a few times now.

Guess I'll have to watch the forum an try for an active feed when one pops up ..
Not using the Ku/Ka ...so can't use Ku as a ref ...
Currently have the XMW PLL at the focus ..

4.9E was busy with feeds chasing Turkey's President Ertogan around Africa last week VS. I think he's hopped it back now, nothing to see today.
Yes, had noticed Malawi had disappeared, as you say nothing to check now.

I get a familiar spectrum output that enables me to home in on this spot, always looks like this, or similar - a noise peak at 21520H -

That's odd John. Been on the sat for the last 10 minutes, but nothing popped up for me. Has it gone now?

when i first saw it aprox 20 mins ago Llew it was dropping carrier on & off, flicking from bars to picture. Went off totally for a few mins and then back on again. As i type now at 20.52 the carrier is off.
 
Think I saw the peak briefly ...but gone atm ..
Typical bad luck ...but sure I'm now in the right area

left the TBS loop scanning ..but so far nothing...
doh!
