Is this site slow?

* zorba, I've cleared all the databases and done some other stuff to speed the site up and its now flying here for me so you must have some other problem.
 
Any ideas/tips ?
I also visit another sat forum,but have no problems there

Do you have a local ISP speed test site, such as we have here in Malta ? Welcome the lights will show if all is well locally and internationally

PS .. try a traceroute here Utilities

Just deleted history and cache, did a traceroute

http://www.tracert.com/ is the industry standard, but you will have to register zorba. Sure Admin here use this :D

Havent been on for a week,and tonight this site has really slowed down, for me.Anybody else having problems ?

Sometimes I do feel a little bit of lazyness:) but not too much and I don´t have no hurry when visiting such a nice forum:p

Maybe time to clean out all old traces in the computer
 
A bit slow myself as well, but not a bad as before.
 
Will ask Chris to check the log, but it seems to be behaving itself here, what internet connection do you have omkar?
 
It's the banners isn't it ? Sure enough is one big site these days. If the page is slow to load I simply click on "Stop loading this page" :-DOH2and if I visit often I don't delete the sites history.

Yes, there are a lot of banners and graphics, particularly now with avatars, smilies and signatures, graphics viewing can be turned off at browser level or in the /user control panel. The site should still load quickly though, providing the member has a decent ADSL or cable connection, I only get the occasional hold up nowadays. :)

This site is slow at the moment. Noticed that the past couple of days have been slow. Other web sites seem fine. Usually this site is nice and quick so i suspect soemthing is not quite right! Maybe too many people on here right now?

I have a broadband connection which i know is working OK. :confused:
 
Yes, it seems to have been periodically giving problems, the server crew are looking at it now, appears that the temp memory folder is getting filled up and then causing the blockages. Hopefully it can be sorted soon. :)
