A really intelligent man called Professor Brienstein held a calendar conference last week and made a very interesting point.

That way back in the year 1112, we stopped making calendars for two years, and when we started again, we began not from the date 1114, but from 1112 the day of non-production.

Meaning now, today, we're actually, two years behind real time.

So in reality it's 2008 now, and 2009 in January.

Fascinating. :D

All depends upon your definition or reality or real time. For me it is the year 5767 now not 2006, I only use the gregorian calender which says 2006 because most things in business and industry use that as the norm but to lots of people it is not. The credit card banking system for example uses the Julian calendar system not gregorian, the chinese calendar is different again I am led to believe:-Cbigsmil

Hmm, so it could be 2040 then? Time to draw my pension! :D

I don't care what year it is - as long as I wake up tomorrow morning with the same health I go to sleep with tonight.

Leigh....

I was looking forward to the year of the skunk - now its going to the year of the VAT man : confused:
