I think I'm correct in saying that only people with non-Sky receivers have reported getting fta ITV2 on this board.

With a non-Sky receiver you have to input the aPID & vPID manually - can you do that with your Sky box ?

If not, then probably you won't be able to get fta ITV2.

There is also a VG/NDS encrypted ITV2 on the same transponder.

Hi
Stockholm is to put it mildly on the extreeme end of the footprint. According to Astra's footprint map we shouldn't be able to get unles we are at the coast of Norway. However we are under a sidelobe (I live close to Borlänge) where reception of 2D is possible. You would find that the transponders with horizontal polarisation are about 3dB stronger than the vertical (amongst other ITV2). If you are desperate to get ITV2 you need a BIG dish. In Borlänge I'm on the edge of getting ITV2. With a Panasonic 30, a 1m Lenson Heath dish and a 0,5dB Eurostar LNB I can get in perfect conditions a patchy picture of ITV2.

cheers

To get ITV2 on a Sky digibox you need at least the £16/m Family Package, so if you don’t have that you can’t watch it anyway. However you should get the channel upgrade screen rather than ‘no signal’ when trying to watch it.

Hi Leonardwolk
This transponder is normally stronger than the others (if you aren't in the Stockholm area). I haven't heard about any other beeing able to get 2D in the south of Sweden. Are you able to get all the ITV1 regions as well?

cheers

I'll check that out as soon as i'm home, I never did a scan of astra 2d, only a manual entry of the transponder and the channel pids

Hi Leonard,

I live outside Lund but I am unable to receive anything at all on 2D. My equipment is as follows:

Panasonic 30
Funke 99 cm dish (high gain)
Goldstar 0.5 LNB
10 m cable run, standard coax

I saw your post about receiving ITV2 in Lund on a 1.0 m dish and would greatly appreciate your assistance in answering a couple of questions:

What receiver/LNB/dish/cable do you use?
Did you align the dish yourself? (if not could you recommend an installation engineer)

I am not sure if my dish is incorrectly aligned (90% signal quality on 2A/2:cool: or if my digibox is faulty. The LNB is *not* faulty, but the skew might be out. I have been thinking about a bigger dish (Gibertini 1.5 m), but your post has made me think again.

This might not be related but in Madrid I have the opposite story.

With a 1.35 dish I can get 10.906V all day (including Ulster TV and I'm imaging ITV2 as well, we don't have it on the Irish version of Sky)

The Horizontal frequencies for me 10.832H etc only appear in the morning and in general are a lot weaker.

Anyone any ideas why?????
