JTAG for Arion 1700E

Hi guys,
Does anyone know how to flash memory of Arion AF-1700E.
I need to reprogrammed my Arion due to "88:88" displays...
really appreciate for those who willing to give me any websites in english..
I need to ged rid out this problem..

dear,
you install real or true software in your receiver again.
you do not need jtag.arion receiver is that if you install fake software or other
software,you can install again,stb will be run.arion af -1700E latest software is this link: http://www.zotos.biz/download.html
 
have u got a jtag cabel?

what causes the 88:88 problem? after a software upgrading?

I haven't been able to flash with jkeys yet (it does tell me my device is Sti5518MVB-X and ID 0x1d405041) .. it tell me "flash codes not recognized" when I go into flash programming menu. Why is this?
 
1. yes, jtag needs a special cable , you can find the schematics in 1700-jtag


2.the error message shows that maybe u didnt select the right flash type,
you can try the following software for jtag, it is much easier to use than jkeys.

Ok, I put it in the receiver, now what do I do? Where will I get a boot file that the receiver will accept?

Don't I need to put in a new EEPROM too?

edit: Could it be that my flash is write-protected?!
 
Ok, I have a new definition file for jkeys, I can read the flash out full now, but when I attempt to erase I get "DQ6 stopped toggling" error. I assume this has to do with write-protection. I'm gonna try and bypass it, found a document on the web...

1。flash write-protection is impossible for the stb. because when u scan channels, setting ur receiver, you are aslo writing the flash.

i think maybe u need to re-solder the flash on the mainboard.

2。how to use skymax to jtag ur receiver?
a.connect receiver and computer with jtag cable.
b.power on receiver.
c. run SKYMAX_up1.3, select 2MB
d.click START ,if no errors, then press erase, at last, press write and select 1700-BIN file. then wait patiently untill you get the successful message.

Ok I did that but the next step is sending through RS-232, right? do you have buc/auc files that will work 100% sure with arioner ?

However I do think there is a problem with the flash or the jtag cable... after I wrote the flash through skymax I tried to read it out and what I got was basically 2 MB of empty data FF...

Can you buy this cable anywhere or you just have to build it yourself?

I made it by myself , its not a difficult job,

you can search with the key word " jtag" on AL7BAR, you can find lots of topics about how to make a jtag cable!

hi,MrMariusz

eeprom is used for saving channel data, channel volume, the last channel u watched, etc.

so it isnt necessary for u to get the eeprom bin file.
