Former TV Presenter Keith Chegwin has died aged 60.

ISTR he did a show early in the mornings wandering around various towns, and I used the feeds to tune up the analogue box I had at the time. Otherwise I didn't really care much for his stuff.

R.I.P Keith

TV's Keith Chegwin dies aged 60

RIP Keith....also not an admirer of his work but sad news...

I didn't know he was 60 but a few years younger than that. He did start out in childrens TV just after I'd stopped watching Saturday morning stuff.

His last few years were immersed in local pantomime, so it would be unlikely I'd see him in the theatre productions either.

SWMBO has just got home and told me Cheggers has gone pop :(

I used to watch TBB when Cheggers was on it, and he always had the energy to entertain, sad he's gone so early, but you know what they say, only the good die young...

He died from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, the non-Idiopathic version of which my late mother also suffered from. IIRC Evel Knievel was also claimed by the disease.

Not a fan of Chegwin's work either but not a nice way to go.

RIP Keith

Yes I was not a fan of his either (perhaps the wrong era) he always reminded me of a male dizzy blond, but 60 is no age RIP Keith
