Keys help for newbie

I have a Wiztech 3010 receiver and have downloaded new software so am now able to input codes, the input options is 8 two digit boxes so I am guessing this is for Hex codes, can I use any codes or do they need to be specific to my receiver. I have found and input some codes but with no success so guess I am doing something wrong - just not sure what. On some channels I have the option of up to ten seperate pages of input screens I think for different encryption types.

As you can see I am a little confused so could do with a bit of basic guidance.

welcome to the forum.
It would help greatly if you could provide us with a little more information:
What is your general location?
Which satellite channels can you receive?
Which satellite providers keys have you been trying to update?
In general we have a few packages open, with the correct keys, and patched receiver, Premiere 19E, Polsat and SRG 13E, Digi TV 1W.
You could also open TPS 13E, but all these are dependent on your receiver, what patch is available and loaded.
I do not know of your receiver, but if it is patched, look for the provider ident, e.g. Premiere is generally 0501, Polsat 7101, then check you are entering the key in the correct lines.
