Hollywood icon Kirk Douglas has died aged 103.

Star in two Kubrick films, Spartacus and Paths Of Glory, and also as Vincent Van Gogh in Lust for Life, chisel-jawed Kirk was active in movies for six decades.

He was particularly proud of helping to bring to an end the Hollywood actors' and producers' blacklist trials in the 50's.

Truly the last of the Golden Age actors to pass on. He suffered a stroke in his nineties which would have finished off a lesser person and made a recovery.

According to IMDB, Olivia de Havilland is still around. She was pivotal in removing the 'zero hours contract' of her day
