This dish came from Telenor. These dishes were developed by Norweigian Telecom Research (NTR). I believe this dish was part of some research and development work. The following paper describes the work. http://www.telenor.com/telektronikk/volumes/pdf/4.1992/Side_85_88.pdf Unfortunately the picures have been omitted from this pdf. Figure 2 is of a 1,8 m antenna on transportable earth station. I believe this is the same or similar dish i have. I am trying to find this picture. As explained in the paper some 3,3 m and 1,8 m dishes were produced by Raufoss between 1981-87. In 1988 production was transfered to EB-NERA (now ABB-NERA) In 1988 the production of reflectors were moved to Ticon in Drammen. They used polyester with glass fibre. ( I dont think they exist anymore, I cant find any info on them). I believe my dish may have come from there. The smaller dishes were mass produced by Fibo-Støp, Holmestrand where they produced 55 cm 90cm and 120cm dishes. I guess strictly speaking i shouldnt say that my dish is a Fibo Støp since i dont know that it was made there but it is the same design looking very similar to the 55cm with the hole near the base of the main reflector (for a wave guide?). My dish is fibreglass whereas i think most of the fibo dishes are steel. I am planing on buying a sub reflector from a 120 cm dish and trying to make a new feed arm. I would appreciate any advice or comments from any of you fibo fans with some experience of tinkering with these dishes.
