Under discussion here Yeshi :

the temporary fix is to switch back to the old skin

(right down the bottom left corner of the page.)

It seems to be particularly affecting Internet Explorer, my three versions of Firefox all seem to load pretty quickly, whilst my IE takes several seconds.

Well the new version of the new skin, newly adapted by Chris with new larger type in the quick post and newly removed sidebar, seems to be operating with a new vigour. :D Hopefully it should have solved the IE problems. :)

Yeshi, have you tried Firefox?

I like the new Skin, its super fast for me compared to the old one.

As Chief Wiggum would say: "Thats good work boys" ;)

About the browers, you mean there is something other than firefox? I think your making it up, I would have read about it in the news... ;)

its because there are a lot of threads and the page is using more mysqul than php, mysql uses cpu and memory rather than internet bandwidth. so it might be your computer. or the ton of adsense on here

This thread is 6 months old and the problem was solved with a tweak to the new skin that had been introduced :)
