Not seen that particular one before but it fits pretty well except for the first one. I'm a dinner man and it confuses the hell out of me when people call lunch dinner.

A sensitive issue, but I thought it was more of a class thing than geography.

Mmm, there is afternoon tea as well. I'm quite partial to scones with jam and cream.

For me, the midday meal at school was always a school dinner, through from infants, junior (working class areas) and grammar (well-to-do catchment area, although we were in anything but). I can't recall anyone calling it anything else. Maybe different elsewhere.

Yes, at school it was called dinner and we had dinner ladies serving us. But somehow that didn't confuse me.

I asked the maid in dulcet tone
To order me a buttered scone;
The silly girl has been and gone
And ordered me a buttered scone.

I think it is more of north/south thing. SWMBO still asks if we should have supper at 5pm or 6pm. To me, 'supper' is a light meal before bed time..However, SWMBO was born and brought up in London. She has just pointed out that 'dinner' may be your main meal, regardless of whether you have it at midday or in the evening. 'Tea' when I were a lad, (obviously eons ago) was something you had on Sunday afternoon and usually sweet..

According to the 1896 OED, 'brunch' is a Sunday meal for 'Saturday night carousers'.....

An aunt always served high tea, usually a pot of tea and her delicious Victoria sponge when we visited.

What time is teatime?
Ooop north it is either as mentioned a cup of tea and cake, can be a snack or indeed a meal served 4pm 5pm or 6pm. Dinner is normally served after 7pm and supper depends upon what time you go to bed. My nan used to say you should never have supper because it was unhealthy to go to bed on a full stomach.
