Listen Up Laptop screen went green

The screen on my laptop was going green.

I got a quote to fix it. £120.

But I found out if I slipped a small piece of paper at the top of the screen, under the plastic frame, the green goes away completely! Yay. Fixed. I hope it lasts.

Any idea was went wrong to make the screen go green? Thanks.

It'll be a faulty connection between the ribbon connector(s) and the screen. If your fix works, great, but you might find it re-presents itself as the joint gets some more flexing.
