Ok, a few years back, when laser pens were the "toy" to have, I came up with the idea that if you ramped up the voltage in oneit would increase it's power to become a cutting tool, and if it went even higer it would become a Sci-fi style laser weapon...;)

Now, thinking about it, I guess what what would actually happen is the pen's laser module would just burn out or even worse, explode (WCS), rather than vapourise people you don't like... :D

Of course, I only ask as I just bought a Phaser (a toy one, not a genuine prop, cast resin kit, or even a real one from the 24th century :p ), and I'd love to put a laser module in it.... :D

A crossbow still has a lot going for it, but if you want to frighten intruders with the phaser, I am sure it could be adapted with a 44 Magnum insert.

A phaser firing bullets??? No ta, too dangerous... :p

The laser module in the Phaser is just so I can acually have a beam coming from it, and if it does more than just "glow", the better.... :D

A laser would only project a 'beam' in foggy atmospheric conditions.
Smoking a Havana might help.
