Those plasticky red/orange mesh bags that Oranges and the like come in: Once (eventually) opened, the kitchen is then strewn with tiny bits of plastic that take forever to find and clear away.
 
Yes, whatever happened to the brown paper bags you used to get them in?

It's after using scissors that the problem happens >> Just cut open a family bag of Tomatoes and ...... poof ............ away they go.

Next Bugbear: Worse in Spain, but applies in UK and elsewhere too - we're all encouraged to use "bags for life", yet every bit of loose produce is put into flimsy polythene bags and pre-packaged stuff comes in thicker plastic cartons.

It all seems like the tail wagging the dog, as you end up unpacking the shopping only to find that your "green" efforts at using re-usable sacs/bolsas/bags seem a little bit pathetic when you look at the found of throwaway plastic left over after the contents are removed. Bonkers.
 
My rucksack's mainly plastic too, so technically I bring my shopping home on my back in a plastic bag too... :-rofl2
