Triple Dragon, Dreambox 8000, Echostar AD3000ip, TBS6522,6925,6983 PCie cards.
Gibertini 1.25m motorised dish driven by the AD3000, with either Inverto BU Quad or Norsat / XMW Ka LNBs . SMW 1.05m + 3 other dishes. Speccy: Promax HD Ranger+

hi Liew,
how do I apply update? complete flash? I used TDCC an just uploaded update, but nothing seems to change - yelllow Ok yellow or red not working at all. As I press yellow nothing happens. What am I missing? thanks
 
It's not a full image, just a newcs update (partial image).

All your original settings will remain the same. Yellow button works OK with mine, check your network settings if it's not connecting to the server.

checked it. All network settings are good. Still no Yellow??? Maybe I should manualy download some keys and then it will start working?
 
Have you got a small file named softcam.cfg in /var/etc? This points to the latest server (sputnik-sat) although it should be included in the latest image.

Other than that, I can't at the moment figure out what the problem is.

Ask away here if you get stuck. As with any Linux STBs, they take a while for you to get the most out of.

Not very helpful. There was nothing in this thread that would have helped a newcomer to the TD to set up a new image.

i wil try it now,is a special pw,needed root/ dragon?
curencly a image called xtreme 3,3 is installed,but in menu it only alowed diseqec switches,i cant select direct cable conection ,is this normal?

also the svhs Port In is missing,is this part separtly avalible,must this soldering on the mainboard?
i think without this i cant record to hd!?
or this this also work over network!
can i use same ccam then on dreambox,or is there another version reqeierd!

No password needed to flash an image. Most unofficial images when flashed will use root/dragon, can't remember about xtreme, haven't used it for ages.

I'm surprised that extreme doesn't allow a direct cable connection - the installation menu is part of the basic menu system, and shouldn't be overwritten by xtreme if that is indeed the case. The first choice is 'No' in DiseqC & Rotor Config - DiseqC Support, which shows as Directly Connected in the Attached To box. Best to try another image.

You must have a very early TD, never heard of an absent s-video port. Should be to the left of the spidf connector looking at the back.

For recording, you can add an HDD internally. Much better idea.

Cccam can't be used on the TD yet, some people are working on it I believe. Mgcam+newcs if configured correctly should give similar results.

Oh, and Turok - English language only in these sections!
