I have been a Linux absentee for a few years I switched to W 7 when I got my first TBS card.I am now duel booting Mint 19.with W 7.Finding my way round again.I have done a lot of searching on the net and looking around in the menu.I cannot find a virtual Keyboard.Plenty of instructions to find it on Mint 14 but not for 19.Help would be appreciated

Should be in-built.

Try Menu > Preferences > Accessibility > Keyboard > Virtual Keyboard

I understand it doesn't allow non-native OSK because of compatibility issues, but you could try finding "Onboard" using the Software Manager.
