I was told that the Invacom SNH-031 (mine is twin) starts to perform better on bigger dish sizes...so probably the gain is going to be higher on a 100cm... do you agree?
 
No the comparison was made with different LNb's but still you can get a good idea.

Why should it perform better on a bigger dish? Also, I see a lot of these on large dishes (2.4m for example) and don't see exceptional performance.

That is not down to dish size, it's f/d ratio. Also you are comparing the single against the twin. The built-in feedhorn is the same on both so changing from one to the other is not going to change gain/loss caused by a miss match between the dish f/d ratio and the feedhorn.

look...I don't want to start any discussion with you but here it is the formula : f/D Ratio = Focal Distance/Dish Diameter.

Normally bigger dishes have a bigger focal distance to keep the f/d ratio the same (for example Famaval 1.4m, 1.8m and 2.3m are all 0.41 f/d ratio), but anyway changing from a single LNB to a dual is not going to change the f/d ratio of the dish.

OK..no problem...I just meant that in general Invacom SNH-031 (regardless single or twin) starts to perform better on bigger dish sizes.

Case closed!

A good news for you:

The Aljazeera channels +1+2+3+4 broadcasted the first serie A matches in English...so far so good !
 
any advice before installing it other than replacing the wing nuts? :)

Yep, feed the coaxial through the LNb boom before you align it.
