Hi all,

What is lnb output for in DB 528?

I suppose to get the same lnb signal from input so I can connect a second receiver and tune other channels than first receiver?

Is it correct?

hello,
usually they don't work so good. they where use for a analog receiver.
like on 19 degrees east where analog and digital are now present but on the way out.
so one could have a analog and digital side by side and run both.

LNB Out is for Loop-Through.

You can connect a second Receiver, but can only allow one to control LNB Band and Polarity, otherwise there will be potentially damaging conflicts.

Polarity switching is achieved by altering the voltage sent from the Receiver from 13v to 18v and Band switching by the absence or presence of a 22KHz tone.

So whichever of two Receivers you are using, you must either put the other Receiver into Standby or turn off LNB power.

The DB 528 is a modged up Dreambox DM500 clone. It doesn't have an lnb loop through.

The older DM500 & Clones did, but not the DM518/528.

If you want loop through your going to have to get another receiver.

Thank u all for the answers.

Mine has a lnb out channel.

I want to avoid using a dual lnbf and run 2 cables from there.
So if possible i want to extend the signal from first to second receiver.

The only correct way of having independent twin channel selection is by using a twin output lnb, using a loopthrough limits the 2nd stb to the polarity of the primary tuner
