Advice Needed Lnb Power Problems

In the last few days I have noticed a problem with my setup, I have 2 coax feeds running out to my gibertini op125l and Iss 100 dishes.

On the gibertini I have

1 coax feed:- amiko D10-1 1.1 switch running,

2x c-band lnb
1x ku universal lnb
1x ku l+r lnb
And
1x direct TV lnb

2nd coax feed I have:-

1x direct TV lnb and BBC

At the back of the set top box is a diseqc 1.0 switch to reduce both cables to 1 coax feed.

This then runs in to my Dr HD D15 then to my TM5302 and finally running to my TBS6983 sat card.

The stb seems to be ok with this setup, but my pc is not :-( if I plug in 1 line no problems, plug in the other line and no problems, but when I go back to both lines plugged in to the diseqc 1.0 switch the PC can't then scan properly.

It seems I have a power problem but what is the best way to go please?
 
Would it not be a DiSEqC configuration issue on PC /PC card?
 
I was wondering what the total load is on 350mv. I guess I have to many lnb's on the line.
 
Don't forget the switch it's self, it also requires some power to run, and some (but not all) switches will run all the attached LNB's at the same time.

A switch that has more then one receiver attached to it will power all attached LNB's at once, this is why some multi LNB switches with more then 2 receiver output ports have external DC power injectors.

And you also have to include the DC voltage loss on some coax, if it's the cheap coax with the copper plated steel center conductor it may have too much voltage loss at the last connection.
 
Just replaced the diseqc 1.0 switch behind the stb to an a/b switch.

And so far that seems to have sorted it.

What sort of switch has the power injection please? Can you find an eBay link or number so I know what to buy, as this is new ground for me.
 
Finally sorted it out :-) the stb' sand the PC are scanning away without a problem now.

I had to put the a/b switch on the end of the diseqc 1.0 switch.

Now all of the signal goes to the PC or to the stb.
 
EMP has a good line of AC powered switches, and there are others like Spaun.

We over here use a switch called a DPP44, it is used with bandstacking LNB's, it has a DC power injector to power it and all attached LNB's, but it is mostly used with the Dish Network system.
