looking to view 40.5w cband from the uk

does anyone receive 40.5w cband in the uk if so what size dish do you have and where are you in the uk ??

... yes i do parkie, and i'm just down the road from you near to Sherwood Center Parcs.
Loads of transponders boomed in on the old 1.8 Channel Master and even more on the 2.2 Elite PF dish.
Anything in particular that takes you fancy ? ... i can have a scan for it and share the results.

It's one of the stronger C-band satellites, with at least something available even on a 1.2m dish. More like a sample than a full service but you'll get something.

With a 1.5m dish I can get 3920R, SR20000 signal and it locks at 7.6db.
You might be OK with a 1.25m Gibertini as it is a DVB-S2 QPSK signal with FEC of 3/5, it needs a theoretical 2.2db for a lock.

I have attached a list of the channels I locked with a 1.5m.

Not sure, I dont have the dish aligned to 40.5 any longer. Flysat list the channels as temporarily fta but Lyngsat has them listed as encrypted. You need a man with a dish capable of receiving the signals to check it out re fta.

I think a 1.8m dish is probably the minimum size to get most of the PVu channels in C band from 40.5W from a UK location. At the time I tested a 1.5m dish I think I only locked one C band PVu transponder from 40.5W

They introduced `extra bytes` before and now they are calculating two modes from it: modeUnmask and modeCW. modeUnmask and modeCW = 0 are the same as before (using old hashes). For now mode 0 and 3 are implemented.
