Patches the Fortec to allcam. No Cam needed.
Go to
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Fortec/

and find the Al7bar patch for your model. Gives you a code menu to update as and when necessary, but patch is fairly current so should open several providers

i have managed to download the "Al7bar CI+ Ultra_040813_239_api" file with no probs but every time i try to download "Al7bar CI+ Ultra_ver61_040708" which is the boot file i get the error msg

"Error: model name does not correct"

i am using the Al7bar downloader and the model i select is "Al7bar CI+ Ultra"

any suggestions?

No need to update Boot file.
Version 5 OK for this app.

I HAVE NOTICED THERE IS NOW A NEW "CODE" MENU ON MY CHANNELS MENU. I TAKE IT THE FLASH WORKED CORRECTLY.

BUT NOW WHAT? I STILL CAN'T VIEW ANY CHANNELS.

ALTHOUGH THE KEY CODES HAVE APPEARRED FOR C***X, NA***VISION ETC

i have flashed my unit again to

Al7bar CI+ Ultra Al7bar 2.40
boot ver 5
26.aug.2004

i have erased all my channel using "1668" command and did a fresh scan - it came back with loads of channels.

On the channel Edit menu there is a "code" section which i enter using "1010" and then select "set default key" but i still get a blank screen when trying to view any of the channels.

My receiver says on the front that it is a

FSCI-5100 Ultra

I am using the right Al7bar for my receiver?

No need to set default key (unless you have made changes to keys, and you wish to revert to your latest patch, i.e. 2.40).
Your app. is correct for your receiver.
When you say 'blank screen' I presume you mean encrypted channels. Only those at present that are viewable will open, of course. (S*y italia and D+ for instance are down at the moment).
TPS on HB OK
Canal Satellite France OK on Astra. Try those.
There has been key changes on some providers since this patch. Enter new codes from a key site or wait until a new patch arrives (imminent).

hi llew

i have a fixed dish pointing at THOR to get CONAX signal.
I can get those with my dragon CAM but not with the AL7bar 2.40.

should i be able to get conax on thor?

C*nax keys have changed. You need to enter new codes.
