Hi Guys....
A friend of mine wants to view some FTA Italian channels on Hot**rd thru an old unused Grundig skybox...I was abel to locate HTbrd and thru the add extra channels option I picked out 50 for him..set the default transponder to RAI everything was fine until we powered the box off from the mains, when it was switched back on the box was looking for the Astra default transponder..is there any way I can save the channels for him other than never switching the box off??
Cheers..

Get yourself a proper non Sky digital receiver. You wont regret it. Sky boxes are all but useless for anything awy from 28E. You can get receivers for well under 100 quid nowadays.

The answer is not to try and use the sky receiver on a service its not designed for. If friend is too tight to stump up 100 quid for a decent receiver, then he has to live with the irritants and quirks of the digibox!

You will find the "default tp" is software set anyway so it defaults back to sky settings when its unplugged. If it were any different, the call centres would be inundated from folks with " broken boxes" after every local power cut / unplugged the wrong plug etc. He could try not unplugging it and see how he gets on.
