Hi, I'm a newbie, just registered cos I need help or advice please.
I have a PACE box & Free2view card in top slot which I got through my daughters address in UK about 4 years ago. Last week, I suddenly lost chanells 4 & 5, they don't even appear on the drop-down menu anymore.
Also, since we had some very high winds & I suspect the dish has moved a fraction, the picture breaks up into pixels or freezes & the sound goes also.
Are these two items connected & what ,please, are the solutions?
Looking forward to your replies.
PS. I'm not sure I've put this posting in the right place as the choice of forums is vast so please advise.

Hi Libellule, welcome to the forum. :)

Sounds like it is tied into your dish moving slightly, if you are getting patchy reception, then the card will not be able to update overnight and 4 and 5 will disappear.

When you go into Services/System Setup/Signal Strength, what does it show?

Hope your dish is not too difficult to get at as it's almost certain to have moved. Just before you do start messing with the dish just have a look to see if the winds could have dislodged domething which is partially blocking the dish's line of sight. Usually it's vegetable matter (trees, wisteria, vines etc) but it may be a bit of masonry or roof tool.

Thanks for your response, I have looked to see if there is any debris or obstruction , no, it;s all clear.
I have also looked at signal strength & quality & both are around 66% , no change. But I have found a bloke with a good meter(Sat finder) & he is coming at the w/e. I'll let you know how we got on.

why is the card in the top slot?shouldn't it be in the bottom slot?
Do you get sky three,five us and five life ?
 
Disconnect from mains for 1 minute then reboot. That may help is you haven't tried already.
