Hi,
I live on Crete and I cannot get ITV1 anymore, does anyone have any idea as to why this has happened. Do you have any frequencies that I can try please.
Many thanks for any help.

Derek.

Will move your post into the Astra 28.2 section, there are several threads there explaining what has happened re the moving of the last of the PSB channels.

See the threads below this.

...and for the purpose of quick reference:

ITV 1 Meridian South East
ITV 1 Meridian North
ITV 1 Anglia TV West
ITV 1 Yorkshire TV East
ITV 1 Tyne Tees TV South
ITV 1 Central TV South West

12402V - (2B North beam)
moved to the Astra 1N uk beam on May 30th 2012, now available on 10994 H.

Hello
No more ITV package on 12402 V 27500 as well as 1TV1 HD on 10936 V 22000 here in ALGIERS since yesterday.

The aforementioned has moved to 1N, not possible on a small dish in Crete.

Only the ITV HD channels are still available on the widebeam. ALL the standard def channels are now on the narrow uk beam.

Yopur best solution is now to find an iptv service that provides them.

Correct - the 12402 transponder was emptied out yesterday afternoon.

So what will happen in the future when the other satellites are launched, will we get ITV back?

No chance :D

(In fact in time you will probably lose more channels long term.)

Eastern side of Europe is very badly served by the next generation of Astra 2 satellites that are to be launched, starting at the end of this year. Soon we'll be relying on Eutelsat 28A only for Sky.

And E28A isnt too far off renewal either, although I havent seen any news of a E28B replacement yet.

the 12480v spected to switch to astra 1n ?
and 11973v also will be move in future ?

ITV services left the wide beam on 11973 in Dec 2011.

Yes, I wonder when we'll hear from Eutelsat about a replacement and if it'll be more favourable for Eastern Europe than Astra or if they'll want to focus more on the UK too.

in hungary we'll have slim pickings, i'm afraid when 2F comes to play. we have quite limited reception under a 2m dish size, even right now on 1N. i'm using a 150cm gibertini and having serious problems catching channel5's, 4HD, 10891H, 11053H and this current 10994H transponder.
will soon look into IPTV options. the ones i found so far are quite suspicious, dont look too promising.
the whole vpn + bbc iplayer, itv player and other catchups work fine but either just on a PC or no live streaming or really bad picture quality (itv)

astra 2f will be more eirp so not be problem to get it

You cannot possibly say that with any certainly, and may give folk an unrealistic expectation.

I expect in the medium-term 12480V will switch to 1N so enjoy C4 Ireland FTV whilst it lasts.
