..just when you thought it was all over..
As mentioned previously ..I needed to tweak Christinas FD a smidge ..and it took a while to find the perfect thing to do this ..
I scoured ebay and found rubber door wedges sold in 10s ..
I need 30 ..so had to splash out on 3 sets...and I only need the last inch of each wedge so a lot of waste.
I also needed to ..not only change the tilt ..but lift each wing outwards at the same time ..so as to increase the gap between each wing ..and thus allow it to tilt inwards without fouling each other.
Yes there will be a gap created between the original dish outer rim ..and the wings inner rim..
Unavoidable ..but then I guess these gaps will provide drainage ..but could be bridged easily with aluminium tape if neccessary..
Longer stainless bolts on order ..but for now had enough to try one wing....so ..5 wedges drilled and cut to size removing the thinner end of the wedge and the thick upper section..
The pictures tell a better story ..

and although I now have another 1cm of tilt ..a further 0.5cm is possible simply by tightening the bolts ..which lifts each wing..
