Thanks Martin! I think I am not ready to bend the tubes. In this case I only need couple of bends (marked red). Or, as I've said before, find another solution.

You will have to bend something, extend the threaded rod and bend that.

If I was doing it I would work from what's already there, we all look at doing things in different ways, nothing wrong with what you are doing its dam good great work, sometimes I find the answer is already there and ive been looking to deep :(

This is no-go for me, I just want original feedarms removed. Ball joints will save situation and till I get them I will attach 4 small bended angles as I showed couple of posts before.

While waiting for ball-joints (ordered last night) made 4 additional angles. Perhaps it is time to think about LNB holder.

So, ugly feedarms are down and new ones installed. LNB more or less in place, up and running (but, of course, need some fine tuning).

This is the way how SUB will be placed to make transform CM120 to Gregory type. Only need to think about mechanical way for joining Fibo feedarm.

If it was not drizzling I would catch some signals even today. But, why to hurry?! Holders for Fibo arm are ready and arm is easy mounted and unmounted when needed. Will do tuning another day.

There is my CM1,2 in Gregory design, fully operational and tuned to7,3*W to do some tests.

This will be the last picture of CM1,2m in Gregory style, I've showed already too many and new ones will not add any value. So, to not invent bicycle, just added 60,3mm clamp to firmly hold Fibo arm to bottom arm of the antenna.

What we want now is whether this mod has shown any improvement.

I also wish to know that. One thing I know for sure- I had lots of fun making all this and certainly enjoyed my time, cuz I like such kind of activity. Is reception better now? And how much better it is? Those 2 questions depend on the method how to compare performances of 2 systems. I do not know the method, so can not answer to 2 initial questions. Remember I showed diagram how signal level variate during the day ScreenHunter_433 Jul. 28 21.37.jpg Is that happening to each transponder, each satellite? I have some test results and will try to draw some conclusions soon, when I collect enough data from this Frankensteined CM120. I feel that performance now is little bit better than CM120 on original setup.

OK, there is one table. I've scanned 7,3*W 3 months ago with CM120 where IBU was installed on original CM LNB-holder. Got lock on some transponders and put data in the table. Yesterday scanned same bird with same antenna, another IBU attached to Fibo feedhorn and SUB. Both times I did my best tuning to maximum signal. But I can not say I did 100% maximum both times. There were lock on some TPs in May and yesterday there was not lock and vise versa, so I excluded such frequencies from the table. I do not remember at what time of the day I did the tests and I do not know how big variations per time each transponder has in my area. From 40 common transponders May-test made average almost 57%, and yesterday's test made almost 60% that gives us about 5% better performance. However, in May there were some transponders with stronger signal, but average is smaller anyway. What does that mean? I do not know!
For me, personally, I like Gregory setup more than usual, cuz it is not ordinary and pretty seldom.
