This should raise a small laugh or two from someone because - unfortunately - it's actually true and it happened here today:rolleyes:.

Background: We have 2 major weekly local shopping trips - one to TESCO where we buy most of the staples because that's generally cheaper for the same things than the other to Sainsburys, where I (thus normally on my own) buy stuff we either can't get in TESCO or else it's better quality there. Overall the actual spend is roughly the same in both although we get more for our money at TESCO - BUT I also get Nectar points at Sainsburys and those, over the year, build up to cover a large of the extra food/drink bills at Xmas.

So - Male logic:
Today, just before we went off to I decided it was time to begin spending those Nectar points, and said to SWMBO that I would them over the next few days on my next visits to Sainsburys, and wanted to make separate out the shopping lists for the two supermarkets in order to get the best value for those points, :)

And then - Female "Logic"!:
"NO" she says as we should do most of the shopping at Sainsburys BECAUSE THOSE NECTAR Points were/are FREE - totally forgetting/denying/not understanding they are NOT "free" but cost me actual money over the year:-wow. And she still doesn't "get it" even now :confused.

The best place for stationery near here is Suttles of New Malden, but WH Smith come a close second.

Morrisons beats both Waitrose and Tesco on quality and value.

Unfortunately we don't have Morrisons' stores "down here" - and I don't know if they take Nectar points!

I don't ever buy stationery in supermarkets - OTOH, SWMBO does occasionally waste money in that manner:(.

I have spare staples if you believe you might run out. :Y

Ironically, Staples sell stationery, too.

Thank you very much but we are very well supplied with staples (as well as many other office materials! - need any lever arch files as we have many more than we will ever need ? ) - courtesy of my now-closed contracting company:)

Well west of the Pennines the cheapest shopping to be had is at a combination of Lidl, Aldi and Morrison's, staple diet is more important than Staples stationary and we have plenty of the latter in the NW but I only visit once every year or three or is that a blue moon?
