hi guys if you were marking out of ten as 1 bad 10 good what is the best motor on the market for 100cm dish thanks looking to buy a new one but the metal gear ones seem to have a lot off backlash so always ajusting it to take slack out
If you want one without metal gearing, to avoid the irksome backlash you mentioned, the old faithful Moteck SG2100 is inexpensive and robust. I have two (One pukka and one clone) and have never had a moments trouble with them. And they are cheap.
I have only road tested these 2 motors to date..
Like Gordon I'm able to sing the praises of the Moteck SG2100 ..
I've had one in service and trouble free for around 2 years ..
A few months back I also fitted a Superior Dark motor ...which I believe is metal geared and a similar construction to Pauls TM2600 ...so far so good ....and it moves a heavy TD110 steel dish with ease ..
