Can any one help me do a master reset on my Phillips dtx6372 i*v digital box. I want to get rid of all the old channels that are no longer being broadcast. I have read threw the instructions but there is no mention of how to do it? Thanks

The trouble with factory reset is that I believe it cancels out any off air updates, so use it with caution.

The tags for a lot of the old channels are still being broadcast, but a new channel search should put you as up to date as is possible.

The method for the Nokia is, I believe as follows, but only do it if you really need to, it has been known to lock up the box.

________________________________________________________________________

1.Hold down standby key on the box.
2.With the standby key still held down press left arrow followed by right
arrow
3.Release standby key and "re" should appear in display. Press reset button.
4.Follow the screen instructions.

Beware though this wiil probably lose any off air updates.

Why don`t you use the favorite channel option to skip the channels you don`t want.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

1. Go to Channel 46
2. Switch to Channel 47
3. *AS SOON AS* the purple ONdigital logo screen starts to appear switch off power using remote control.
4. Wait a few seconds then turn on the STB via the remote.
5. You should now have the STB reset and will need to scan for channels again. If not, try again.

This was for the 6370 / 6371 and upgrades, however of course if there is nothing transmitting on Ch46 or 47 then this may not work at all. The 'Purple logo' suggestion suggests its no longer applicable
