The transition of some SD channels (MPEG-2) to HD or SD MPEG-2020 formats will begin at the end of November 4.

On the SD decoders listed above, some channels will disappear:
- from November 30, 2020 will remain only in HD Nove, Real Time and Dmax, while they will be in SD, but MPEG-4, K2 and Frisbee;
- from 1st December 2020 they will only remain on HD Tv8 and Cielo;
- during the month of December, Tv2000, will also migrate to MPEG-4, and the HD version of La7; should make its arrival;
- from 18 December 2020 all Rai regional channels will be included, available only in SD MPEG-4
- from 1 January 2021 Mediaset 20 will remain only in HD, while Iris, La 5, Italy 2, Mediaset Extra, TgCom24, La7d, Top Crime, Boing, Cartoonito, Focus will be in SD MPEG - 4.-4.

- September 1, 2021: DTTT SD MPEG-2 broadcasters to MPEG-4. Standard Transparent Solution for all HD and 4 K TV and decoders. - Mediaset: from 1/1/2021 on satellite only SD MPEG-4 for all themes, planned unique promotional campaign of the Switch Off of satellite and digital terrestrial starting from the end of September. Video crawl predicted on involved channels. Need to switch to HD as many channels as possible, forecast to complete the operation by 2022. The use of HEVC on DTT will depend on the penetration of this standard on televisions. We will evaluate for a possible 4 K channel.
- TivùSat: the satellite's Switch Off will cover from 01/12/2020 Tv8 and Cielo, since 01/01/2021 Mediaset and La7d themes. During 2021 it will be all generalists.
From 18/12/2020 all regional Rai 3 TGR will be added in SD MPEG-4 on TivùSat.

RAI have moved stuff overnight by the look of it. More SD crammed in on 10992V DVB-S (copies of the channels on 11804V), and all of the Rai 3 regional versions in MPEG4 have started on 11013H DVB-S2 (encrypted).

From this it looks like 11804V may be switched off (the TV channels are now on 10992V and the radio stations were duplicated on 11766H in DVB-S2 a while back)

The 3 generalist Mediaset channels in SD (Canale 5, Italia 1, Rete 4) + La7 HD and LA7D in SD-MPEG4 will remain on the 11919V.

The processes will be these

On December 28th the MPEG-2 channels (except the 3 Mediaset generalists who remain in SD MPEG-2) will be temporarily renamed and all Mediaset channels on 11432V will be activated in SD MPEG-4.

In LCN everything should go between the night of December 30-31.

On the 31st in the morning the sign will be placed on the provisional channels of 11919V until January 14th. Then they will be turned off.
