I think this was a proscribed channel at one time (Turkish politics). Remains to be seen how long it stays on if and when it starts.

Maybe I was thinking of another Medya TV , formerly Med TV, a short- lived Kurdish station operating outside of Turkey some years back.
 
Med TV - licence revoked by uk authorities April 1999

Relocated to Belgium & was succeeded by Medya TV - licence revoked by the Belgian authorities February 2004.

Succeeded by Roj TV based in Denmark.
 
Ah, thanks. I was sure I posted something here at the time about it, but can't find anything now.
 
Changed frequency to 11804V SR 24444 FEC 5/6.
