hi my metabox I is locked and it display "on" i can't turn it off and nothing is displayed on my tv screen. I don't do an upgrade of the firmware or maybe by satellite without i know it. Somebody can help me please. Thanks.

I'm also french but this forum is in english so..
You can go to this sites you will find software but I try to use them, didn't work for me. If you know how to flash try and tell me if you succeed.
I contact the metaware company but no answer yet.
As soon as I get answer I will tell you.

Once you have make the jtag cord,

- Remove the metabox cap
- Plug the LPT1 to the Jtag port (The grounds are near the front side of the metabox)
- Power on the metabox
- Launch Jkeys software
an error message must be appears
because the micro is notin mode bootstrap
=> Press OK
- At this step you must have to see the device ID and the device of the receiver
on jkeys IHM
- Power off the metabox
- push flash programming button
(a window appear)
- now You must connect the Reset pin to the ground (pin 10 of the schema)
- Power on the metabox
- Press OK and unconnect Pin 10 to ground immediatly
- The micro run in bootstrap mode and jkeys initialize the com
(If an error message appear, it's failed. try again)
- choose "4900" in the "IRD Model" combobox (it have the same flash as the metabox)
- To save the flash data you must press "read" button (full)
- To program the flash you must press "program" button (full)
and select the bin file that you want to program

That's all.

I went on the web for Jtag schematic but I found so many (simple, buffered, etc).. can U tell me wich one U use for the metabox ? Where can I get the wiring ? What's the code name of the other end of the cable (inside metabox)

Thx nko but U didn't tell me what is the type of the other connector (ref, name...).because I would like to make the cable before opening the Box.
By the way there is also a wiring with uP and serial port that look more safe than this mounting.
Any info. about that ?

About the jtag utility, actually it is not possible to flash the metabox with the soft provided by metaware (with crossed RS232) and they don't move their *sses !
Try to contact them ,U will understand what I 'm saying...
 
I don't know the ref of the connector, I have got it to my job. It's a connector with 2 rows of 10 pins (step of 2.54mm).
If your metabox is flashed, it block and it display "on". In this case, you can't programming by RS232(Com) because the soft which use the port is not running.

I'm a francophone to and i do not understand how exactly to do when you want flsh your metabox .Please can you send more explantion in french to may mail adress (tianaravoni@yahoo.fr) and send the right file of JTAG because when i finished to downloads it from megaone site ,I can't run the JTAG soft
