Middle East Satellites-Question

Is it by accident or design that the following satellites- Nilesat 7W, Arabsat 30.5E and Amos 4W are located within 1 degree of European satellites.I cannot seem to tune in any of these satellites on my motorised system.I have a TD110 dish and am based in Dublin.I can tune to the satellites 1 degree either side of these satellites and I'm using USALS and tune 45 degrees east to 37 degrees west with no problem.Before I go messing about with the dish positioning what are members tuning results for these dishes bearing in mind dish size and location.Obviously results from Khazakstan and similar locations won't have a lot meaning to me.

I can only speak about 7W Nilesat at the moment, as I have not tried the others, but you don't stand a chance to get that in Ireland on a TD110. The dish is too small. I can just get it here.

Thanks for that.I suppose I should be happy enough with BADR 26E.I wouldn't hold out for Nilesat or Arabsat either but I'll wait for futher feedback

You might get Badr 4 at 26E. No chance of Badr 6.

If you want Nilesat you are looking at 2.4m diameter dish **at the very least - possibly MUCH bigger!!**

Some of the FTA programming on 7W is duplicated on 26e Badr-4.

Getting a 68% signal strength and 50% signal quality on Badr 26E.Takes about 5 secs to lock up a picture but it is very watchable.In relation to EPL on middle east sats if the situation becomes widespread you can be damn sure that encryption will be introduced on these broadcasts.Murdoch won't tolerate his bottom line being affected by the proliferation of large dishes offering free EPL football.Oh, and remember in the UK you now have a conserative government and we know what Murdoch's relationship is like with them.
