Mini City Chat thread.

I had a play with various scripts at the weekend: pop-ups and iframes. Most either don't work, are blocked or redirect the complete page to minicity (as it's a .swf page it can be pain to "trick" it). Lots of the "how to increase your population" scripts are just links to someone's minicity.

Being .swf also means it won't work with most proxy servers (none that I could find would work) as they tend not to be compatible with Flash.
 
Yes, I've been trying a proxy script and tried iframe, plus Chris has tried the script which is supposed to open up a small 3 second popup window, but that didn't work either. :)
 
I wonder if my ISP is restricting this city website as I cannot get on to it with any browser!

It seems a shame that to do well, you have to get all 'military' about it with attacks on others and clever tricks. A bit of lost innocence I guess :(
 
The minicity site must be down, Firefox just says the server is taking too long.
 
I think this attacking other cities is reaching fever pitch.The minicity world has reached meltdown. Maybe someone has dropped a cybernuke on it.:-rofl2

Strange, th ebrowser window blinks a few times, and then it goies to the website. I think it works, what a strange thing. But i would still like to find out how those devils nuked us, what program were they using...?
 
If you read my post a few back, there is the anticity site at which you can nuke another city, but they didn't use that method, they simply overran the place with factories which caused an environmental disaster.

The link above goes to the XML page first, checks the statistics and then decides which URL to use and clicks through. :)
 
Just been having a quick search around, and found a forum dedicated to minicities. How sad:)

Apparently antiville doesn't work against minicity, its a different game. Not sure, but an anticity site is needed instead.

We were what is known as 'factory bombed', the cure of course is to env bomb yourself.

Quite a few cities are being factory bombed.

Yep, it's not just about building a city, it's a game, use all the tactics and internet tricks you can muster to become the biggest.:)
