Thanks to @lovinthetelly for this find:

The Italian multistreams on 12.5W were replicated on Eutelsat 5WA yesterday, so all the French and Italian multistream channels are now on 5W. This will be a good test of whether the Edision etc can tune new multistreams itself, or whether it'll need a software update.

12543H S2/8PSK 34200 8/9 - streams 33, 34, 35, 36 (includes DMAX Italia, NOVE HD, Spike Italia, VH1 Italia, TV8, Cielo, Paramount, TG24 etc)
It won't be any test at all because:
1. the stream is not PLS scrambled, so any MIS capable tuner will lock it no matter the change in other parameters
2. If it was PLS scrambled but the parameters were already stored in the firmware it would be discovered as well no matter the orbital position.
If it had PLS Root + 8 and it used the same combo on a different satellite it would still be discovered. Same goes for any stream with the same combo.

So still no magic tricks there, no matter the wishful thinking....

Ah. Will take another look when I can wrest the Telecommander away from SWMBO.

This isn't the first time certain TPs have seemed to have died, but often a reboot brings them back. I wonder if there's a bug in the Modified Firmware.

Finger trouble ..... spotted I'd toggled LNB Power to 18V only whilst adding today's changes!

Must have pressed Left instead of Exit at some point  :D

I really hope that the Italian beam of the new Eutelsat 5W B where all the Italian channels will turn up to, will not be as tight as rumoured, allowing even some reception a few kilometers outside the Italian peninsula...
Long story short, enjoy them while they last!

I think that for receive FEC 8/9 the signal must be higher than with other FEC like 3/4.
Good reception here with 1m dish in Belgium 13,3 dB (12543 h) with EBS Pro or Crazy Scan.
for 8PSK 3/4 approximately 8 dB (7.91) is required.
for 8PSK 8/9 approximately 11 dB (10.69) is required.

Quite so.

Stonking signals on all with an 80cm dish in Northern England. For now!

SR is OK, but don't know if the beam down here (Malta) covers the area. Otherwise I have no problem with all the other Channels.

It's alright, got them. Its just I hadn't yet got the hang of tuning manually the Multi stream....

Something seems a bit strange with these, I get continuity errors in the streams which causes break-up despite the signal strength being fine (~15.5dB SNR on an 80cm dish) in TVHeadend. The only thing that I can see that seems strange is that all of the streams - 33, 34, 35 & 36 all have the same TSID (33).

12593 H is dead for me, but that might be due to trees.

My 39E is degraded in Summer .... but I do have Balkanika (my strongest Channel), albeit far weaker than winter mode.

Hi Adam792, do you use E2 box?

TSID is not the input Stream!

Same SID on different Input Stream with same TID and NID, enigma2 don't like that! (file "lamedb")

IS33 DMAX SID=50
IS34 Alpha SID=50
IS34 ibox65 SID=60
IS35 RadioItaliaTV SID=60
IS35 Spike SID=50
IS35 SUPERTENNIS SID = 40
IS36 Deejay TV SID=40

Rete4 HD has returned to Italian DTT/the multistreams on Eutelsat 5WA. It has been absent since March 2017, and takes the place of Mediaset Extra HD, which was launched to ensure full HD coverage of the World Cup.

12606V 35000 2/3 S2-8PSK, root 8, stream 2.
