Hi all,

Following the heavy winds a couple of weeks back, I've noticed that my motorised set up has lost Thor at 0.8w , Astra 4 at 4e and Eutelsat W3A at 7e.

Hotbird at 13e, Sesat at 15e and Astra 1 and 2 at 19.2 and 28.2 are all fine.

Would this be a simple alignment issue or something more sinister?

The positions in the satellite didn't need re-programming following the winds, some just continued to work and some just didn't. I've tried adjusting the dish position (via STB) but can't get any signal quality for the birds mentioned earlier.

Btw, positions are manually programmed, I don't use USALS.

Thanks
Andy

An 80cm... must be using a DiSEqC motor. It's possible the dish has moved on the motor stub.

Hi, thanks for your response. It is a DiSEqC motor.

Guessing movement is a possibility, the winds were very strong and it is a high and exposed mounting. (Roof of a 3 storey building in fairly open, low rise area)
