Modifying Digibox

Can anyone tell me what's involved in changing the PAL/I RF output so that the sound works on a Pal/G TV? I remember seeing a mod kit advertised some months back, but can't seem to find it now. And please don't tell me to use a scart connection - I already am! This is to use a second Digibox on a single AV input TV.

There was a mod available Arraknid, but I'm not sure whether they do them anymore, I believe it was for the Grundig.

The other options I've used in that situation are a defunct video (simply used for the modulator or a PAL G modulator, but these are normally around £50.

Thanks Rolf, I've seen a scart to Rf convertor at about the same price, but I was rather hoping someone could tell me a cheaper way around the problem. Maybe if someone knows they'll post it here. I know my way around a circuit board, so that doesn't phase me. It's possible that the Grundig mod will suffice, bearing in mind that digiboxes are built to a common(ish) standard. Mine's a Panasonic, by the way.

When channel 5 started,to convert sat boxes a TIM 1 tune in module was used.Supplied by Eurotechnic Distribution Ltd, The Courtyard,41 Filmer Road,London SW6. 0171 381 0022.It extended the rf tuning range from the standard 30/39 to 40/50.It also had the ability to retune the sound output from PalI to Pal b,though this was not used, but on opening the module was easy to do.It used the if feed to the lnb to power it but did not affect the quality of signal. To cut to the chase!,I use these to connect a digibox to a Spanish TV that does not have a scart socket, but by rf loop thru lead..........are they still available?,yes, but only at your local boot sale!.Has anybody else seen these?.......you can have one for 20 quid plus postage........brian

I used to use them when I worked for channel 5 Brian, think I've still got one or two in the garage. :)

they also sell them by mail at Cricklewood electronics, but these are the ones that require a psu.
