Hi ALL ! I would please you for some advice to setup my dish,
i have 2 separate sattelites (Hotbird, Astra ) and one monoblock (Thor,Siruis)
the 2 separate are connected to 4/1 Diseq , so the Question is
can i connect the monoblock to this DiseQ as well ?

i have an openbox s10 as a receiver , hope for that you can help me to explain how .

No you can't. The monoblock has a diseqc 1.0 switch inside it, and diseqc 1.0 switches can't be cascaded. Easiest option possibly would be to change the monoblock for two separates.

Try a search for uncommitted DiSEqC switch.

If you have a good signal strength on your Thor and Sirius feeds, then you can use a four way DiseqC switch and a two way power pass splitter. I've used this method over in France on my sister's setup.

If you can open your diseqc switch , just connect the center connections of port 1 and 2 and use one them for the monobloc .
Then you dont need the splitter and extra cables .

Image one is the correct one, you don't need the four way, it also has a higher insertion loss. You could of course try the method which Trust1 describes, not tried it myself, but looks like a good solution.:)

@ Rolfw , it even works with 2 monoblocs if port 1 and 2 are connected and also 3 to 4 .
The second monobloc/switch at port 3 or 4
A monobloc or 2/1 diseqc-switch goes also to lnb 1/port 1 if diseqc signal 3 is chosen .
And setting diseqc 4 , switch the second monobloc/switch to lnb 2/port 2
maybe not all monoblocs and 2/1 switches work that way , but the ones I tested , worked that way .

Very interesting, thanks.:) I'll be over at my sister's place end of July and will experiment if I have time.
