Havent had a chance to have a look at it yet - dinner first!

BTW there is no critisism of the Guide intended, theres some superb info in there. Its just that it sometimes needs a certain level of knowledge BEFORE you start using a particular section!
 
Oh jeez I REALLY hate dreamboxes sometimes. Nothing works at all now - not even 19E.!

Just been outside with a torch. The switch is an "IDTE Go to nn 8 way" if anyone knows this one?.
 
I'm going to order one of the EMP Centauri switches this week to play with, I've never heard of this make though.
 
Ah Ive finally found the instruction leaflet that came with the box. Now this has "EMP-Centauri GoTo nn Switch S.168" on it!

Lets have another go see if I can figure out the settings on another fresh image - after all I cant bu**er it up any worse than I have done at the moment!
 
The instructions on the PDF above should work then.

as it looks like it does Diesqc 1.1 or 1.2
(Diseq Schalter 1/8 S168 1 Ausgang 8 LNB Eingang steuerung durch DiseqC 1.2 oder 1.1)

It looks remarkably similar to the EMP one.

Yes thats the one. Id say its a rebadge EMP.

Doesnt help me as the dreambox settings within Gemini bear little resemblance to the instructions in the leaflet that came with it.

As as far as I can tell version 1 in that pdf is the closest, but it doesnt work. I can get Astra 1 on port 1 but thats it.
 
Aha - got it working on the first 4 ports all of a sudden using disecq 1.1 I think it was the threat to kick the cat that did it! (however as we dont have a cat swmbo scurried out of range!)

Havent got 23E on port 5 working (yet) but this is a major achievement!

It is version 1 on that pdf up the thread

I need a beer!
 
LOL, well I'm glad you've carried out the groundwork, I can buy one now. :)
 
Yahoo. Port 5 works as well - the lnb was loose and was sagging and pointing too high.

A bit of insulating tape in a strategic place and bobs ya uncle! I must find some suitable narrow bolts to bolt it down tight again!

Astra 1D now coming in at 89% -and I can probably tweak that a bit once I can see what Im doing - its pitch black and bitterly cold outside! Trying to do delicate repairs whilst holding a torch in your mouth isnt recommended!

Thanks to everyone for their patience over the last couple of frustrating days. Now I can spend the weekend fixing my channel lists!

28E on port 6 here I come (more insulating tape!)
 
I did some screengrabs of the settings last night. I'll post them later to help other folks trying to do the same thing. :)
