i have just got second hand motorized dish can get channels but from motor there are 6 wires and reciever has only 3 holes help please colours are green,white,blue,black,red,yellow.thanks in advance

Take a picture of the dish from the back and post it here.

Very few Manhattans drive the older style motors without a converter (VBox).

If you have six wires plus the signal cable it sounds like you have a polariser on the end of the dish.

That is one of the last polarmount designs, with a linear actuator fitted.

It's not a bad design at all, though the small motor will eventually rust inside.

The receiver connections are for a polariser/polarotor, not for a motor, so a DiSEqC converter VBox) will be required - about 40 pounds plus delivery.

What model of Manhattan is it ?
 
it is a dsr-5500ci_m had it for about 5 years still ok but on channel bar names turn into symbols so have to reset all channels again
 
Common fault with most of the Manhattans of around that time. They also had trouble with modern Cams.

You could probably get a reliable CI receiver for about the same price as the VBox. Have a look at the Technomate series.
