Ross hdr-6110usb reciever twin mono block and a shit dish that I'm replacing soon

how do you reset the sat motors mine seems to have a life of its own and rotates full east im guessing they must have memories this is the first time I've owned one. I set receiver to factory defaults that didnt work. Is there a button on the motor somewhere.
 
It would help to know what motor you are using..

How to reset:

spare TM2600 motor stuck (not mounted, so can easily test anything)

hi guys i have 2 spare motors. was gonna stick em on ebay however, one is stuck at 70 degrees east, if i use the button for east \ west, i can send it further east, but i can only get it back to 70east, i cant get it to beyond that, therefore, i cant send it to 0. not sure if its nackered...

Adjusting the hardware limits as far east/west as far as they'll go has fixed someone elses motor with a similar issue:

Also the dish needs to be inline with the motor when the motor is pointing to zero, yours is way off.
 
I had dish on zero but couldnt get it to track so in the end stuck the motor on zero and just aligned the dish to astra 2e so my mother could watch tv otherwise my life would have been hell
 
was just looking for the hole to reset it and not sure where it is.

Are you still aiming through that narrow gap in the trees? If so you won't be able to receive many satellites.
 
I chopped most of it down and im getting new neighbours soon and they said they are going to cut down the larger tree I'm on roof now altering the setup cos there was too much vibration on the structure i have only 5mins ago re mounted the dish and tv antenna. im getting quality about 73% and sig 99% on astra 2e
 
do you know what angle the motor should be set at its currently 44 degrees
 
Set it to whatever the latitude is at your location.
 
And a motorized setup should use 1 LNB not 3...Unless it is fixed on one or more satellites then why use a motor???

Also (if not done already) the motor should be on the zero setting before the reset button is pressed.

And those coax connectors to/from the motor need a bit of weather proofing.
 
That was all set to zero and reset its all done now and working just need more trees chopped down to improve signal quality its currently sitting at 57 - 63% quality.
 
That is funny: having a monoblock LNB on a multifeedrail, to get one LNB dead central above the LNB arm!
Nice solution!
Though in this case it looks like the central LNB is a bit above the point where the focal point of the dish would be (assuming the arm is positioned correct, for placing an LNB in the focal point).

It does work but as the dish moves towards astra 2e it breaks up then i switch to the other lnb and it goes back to working again.
