Hello I have a dreambox and I am a newbie when it comes to this. I Want my motor to turn to the correct satellite, but I don't know how to set it, I only know how to turn it to 0 degrees. Can someone help me set my motor settings please?

I realised that, it's very complicated. Can you send me a good guide? I've been trying to adjust it and finding tutorials , but none of them seemed to work.

Yes it's set up well. I didn't use my dreambox for about 2 years , I did a factory reset like two days ago and everything is removed. I need a detailed guide.

Go to tuner settings and set your tuner to simple mode. From there choose positioner/USALs and enter your coordinates. With any luck, it will work... though you might need to upload a new channel list as they were likely wiped by the reset.

I think gotoxx is the same as USALS, you enter your latitude, and longitude, which you can find at dishpointer.com, negative longitude readings = West. Once done you send your dish to a satellite then physically align your dish accordingly.

Diseqc 1.2 is a different method of moving a motor, without knowing what make/model motor you actually have it is impossible to say if it support USALS.
Can you please provide more information, dish size, make/model of motor?
Do you have any other satellite equipment connected, like a V-Box II?

What image are you running?
That type of motor should work with USALS as it just connects using a coax cable, from motor to LNB and from the motor to your receiver.
To get your dish to track the arc again you might have to zero the motor, then enter your latitude, and longitude, into your receiver and send the dish to the chosen satellites, the problem might just be that the receiver, and motor, are out of sync.

My motor is the SG2100, I am using the Gemini Image. And it supports Gotoxx as I read, the motor.

Okay so I entered my Longtitude and lattitude in my gotoxx function, now what should I do? Should I transfer any files to my dreambox? And the "Lock" and "Sync" aren't ticked in motor settings.

Okay so till now I managed to make it turn to 13Degrees (Hotbird) and Astra 19Degrees., it is locking and syncing with them, but I cannot connect with other satellites, like Thor 0.8

Keep checking the arc, and also check that you have some active transponders, for the satellites you're trying to receive. Do it in steps, so try 10E, 9E, 7E, 5E, 3E, 0.8W, and see what you can get.
Check with lyngsat.com for channels you might be able to receive, on thos satellites.
It also depends on your location, and size of dish.

What is the best way to get the best transponders?
